Customer Installation Example: AFP Tach Using Alternator Signal
For machines equipped with the IEC tach system, this is a simple installation method using the alternator signal.
The customer used an alternator plug adapter to connect the Auto-Feed Plus tach signal.
After installation, program the tach to CAL 20.1 for proper RPM reading.
Installation Steps
- Locate the alternator connection on the machine.
- Install the correct alternator plug adapter.
- Connect the signal wire to the Auto-Feed Plus tach.
- Set tach calibration to CAL 20.1.
- Confirm RPM reading before operation.
